In the port area of Porto is the Praça de Gonçalves Zarco square, which is home to the equestrian monument dedicated to Joāo IV, a sculpture by Célestin Anatole Calmels built between 1862 and 1866. This square is located only a few steps from Praia do Castelo do Queijo, one of the most beautiful beaches in this area, located very close to the Praia Internacional de Porto beach. This area of the city is often frequented by young people and tourists and has a wide range of clubs and bars.
